Recognition of Professional Qualifications - Regulated Professions in the Republic of Cyprus

What is meant by a Regulated Profession?

A profession is regulated if you have to hold a specific degree, sit special exams, or register with a professional body before you can practise it.

If you want to work in another EU country (in this case the 28 EU Member States + Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) and your profession is regulated there, you may need to get your professional qualifications (training and professional experience) officially recognised before you start practising in your host country.
Check out the regulated professions database, which can tell you which professions are regulated in which EU countries and by which authorities.

Automatic Recognition

In the EU, there is a system of automatic recognition of professional qualifications for seven so-called sectoral professions: Nurses, Midwives, Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Architects and Veterinary Surgeons.
