Practising as a Taxidermist


In order to practise as a taxidermist in the Republic of Cyprus one needs to obtain a taxidermy licence by the Game and Fauna Service.

Any person that wishes to obtain a taxidermy licence has to file an application to the head of the Game and Fauna Service on Type Z of the Annex VII of the Law for the Protection and Management of Birds and Game Species Law L.152(Ι)/ 2003-2017.

The application form for taxidermy licence can be submitted either through the PSC Cyprus or you can contact directly the competent authority (Head Offices or District Offices of the Game and Fauna Service):

The applicant is informed regarding the authorisation decision within 3 months from the date that the application form was duly submitted. Upon approval, the applicant pays the fee, as defined in Annex VII, of €340 (electronic payment at the JCCSMART website, www.jccsmart.com, and through the same service at commercial banks also).

The head of the Game and Fauna Service grants a taxidermy licence for game species and wild fauna species to the interested person valid for one year.
